Morgan was featured in a Safe Sex for Men and Women educational video that focused on AIDS Education and Prevention. A portion of the profits went toward the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is also a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fund-raising projects for the disease as well as testified before a special Congressional committee on AIDS education. She is a member of the board of Governors of APLA and Amfar. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has requested her to substitute for him in AIDS celebrations and she's hosted an AIDS Awareness Special together with anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her two times about AIDS in Nightline. Morgan was nominated for an Emmy for her performance in the Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In the spring she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. It was directed by Von Zerneck/Sertner, and also included Cindy Williams & Marla Gibbs. Her next film was Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady together with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also starred as the lead in a psychological thriller that was exclusively produced through the USA Network. It received one of the highest ratings recorded in network history.
